Keep Salado Beautiful Pocket Gardens

Keep Salado Beautiful (KSB) has an initiative with sponsors to develop Pocket Gardens throughout the Village.  Pocket Gardens will provide the Village with additional landscaped areas using native plants that will continue the demonstration gardens and Wildscapes that KSB has developed.
 
This project partners Keep Salado Beautiful (KSB) along with Salado community volunteers and Central Texas Master Naturalists who have already spent many hours in making other projects a reality.

Keep Salado Beautiful will be responsible for:
  • Providing a garden design that incorporates native landscaping
  • Assist with the site preparation and the initial planting
  • Provide Pocket Garden signage
  • Monitor plant development
​
Pocket Garden Sponsors will be responsible for:
  • Preparing site and purchasing plants
  • Pay $90.00 to have their name on individual Pocket Garden signage
  • Will be listed as a Business member with Keep Salado Beautiful
  • Will be responsible for continued maintenance
  • May display public art

Keep Salado Beautiful was established to educate and engage Salado to take responsibility for improving their community environment.  It is an organization that is charitable and educational while promoting public interest in the general improvement of the environment of Salado, Texas by following the Keep Texas Beautiful, Inc. goals.
